Things To Do In Salt LAKE


Centrally located in the Salt Lake Valley, Castle Creek Inn is just minutes away from something spectacular during every season. Take the train to downtown Salt Lake City to shop at the variety of boutiques and restaurants. Temple Square is one of SLC's most famous icons with free tours of beautiful historic buildings, free concerts in the tabernacle, the family history museum,  and the scenic gardens surrounding the 19th century Gothic architecture pioneer masterpiece, the Salt Lake Temple.

Past the city you can find multiple skiing and snow sport locations. In addition to Utah's world famous snow and ski resorts, we have numerous hiking and biking trails with breathtaking views of the majestic Wasatch Mountains, beautiful lakes, rivers, and waterfalls. Temple Square

The Utah Capital Building

For over a century, the State Capitol has been one of Utah’s most prominent landmarks. Built in 1916 the building has an immaculate marble interior and scenic surrounding landscape.

Hiking

Salt lake City has a plethora of canyons perfect for hardcore hikers or morning strolls. There are hiking trails just 10 minutes from downtown and just 30 minutes from our international airport.

Downtown Salt Lake

Downtown is just a 15-minute drive. Enjoy great dining and shopping at City Creek and the Gateway. We are also home to a variety of professional sports teams – the Utah Jazz, Real Salt Lake, the Salt Lake Bees, and quality college football. There is always a great game going on nearby!

Hogle Zoo

This modern 42 acre zoo is home to over 800 of animals. It features a tropical garden, a train, as well as a carousel. Some of their more famous exhibits are their African Savanna, their Rocky Shores, their Asian Highlands, and of course their Elephant Encounter.

Thanksgiving Point

Located right off I-15 this family friendly place holds a plethora of activities. The site includes a children's museum called the Museum of Natural Curiosity, a Farm Country for people to meet their favorite farm critters, the beautiful Ashton Gardens, the Museum of Ancient Life, a butterfly biosphere, and even a movie theater!

Liberty Park

This beautiful park includes 2 playgrounds, 4 volleyball courts, 3 Bocce Ball cours, a Gazebo, a pavilioon, a swimming pool, 10 horse shoe courts, and 5 BBQ grills.

Brighton Ski Resort

For those that like to ski Brighton Ski Resort is the perfect place for you. With about 500 inches of annual snow fall and about 66 trails the resort is sure to give you a true outdoor adventure.

Wheeler Historic Farm

This is a working farm where guests can visit animals and even milk a cow! The farm offers wagon rides around the property or even tours of the historic Victorian home!

Natural History Museum of Utah

This modern venue holds 10 galleries that explore the earth science of Utah along with it's native cultures. The building itself is an architectural design marvel.
